Frequently Asked Questions

Q: What are the dates for the 2012 show?
A: Saturday 4th & Sunday 5th August, 10am – 5pm both days

Q: How much does it cost?
A: Adults - £8, Children £3, Under 5’s – FREE, Concessions £6, or £20 for a family ticket (2+2)

Q: When can I buy tickets and where?
A: Tickets are available on ticketmaster.co.uk in advance or you can buy them on the gate on the day.

Q: Can the public camp overnight?
A: Sorry No. Unfortunately the airfield doesn’t have the facilities for the public to camp overnight.

Q: Are there disabled facilities
A: Yes, we have dedicated disabled parking (blue badge must be present), and disabled toilets.

Q: Can I bring my own food and drink?
A: Yes there are areas where you can settle down and have a picnic just mind the tanks!

Q: Can I buy weekend tickets to attend both days?
A: I’m sorry at the moment this ticket option isn’t available.

Q: How do I get there?
A: Refer to the dedicated page on our website.

Q: Can I pay with my credit/debit card at the gate?
A: No, at present we do not have this facility, so please be prepared.

Q: Are dogs allowed into the show?
A: Yes they are, they must be on a leash at all times. However please be aware there will be loud unexpected bangs and loud noises, large vehicles and tanks movements so please take care.

Q: Is the ground suitable for mobility vehicles?
A: Yes the show event is mainly on grass and every effort is made to keep it as suitable as possible to allow mobility vehicles to use the site.

Q: Are we allowed to have a BBQ?
A: Sorry we are afraid not. Due to the numbers of vintage vehicles and the large amounts of fuel they have to carry (a tank needs 4 gallons of fuel to drive a mile!) we try to do everything we can to minimise fire risk.

Q: The Low Emission Zone (LEZ) How do I stand bringing my vehicle to the show as the show location falls into the LEZ?
A: Damyns Hall lies on the very edge of the LEZ in fact the border line for the LEZ is in Warwick Lane. (see map on LEZ page) Which is also the border of Damyns Hall. As there is an entrance to the site from Warwick Lane it is possible to enter the show without going into the LEZ. As Military and Flying Machines is held on private ground the LEZ is not applicable to the show site.

Q: How do I find out if my vehicle is compliant to enter the LEZ ?:
A: Go to the Transport for London LEZ web site http://www.tfl.gov.uk/roadusers/lez/ where you can enter your vehicle in to their search engine which will then tell you if your vehicle is compliant or not.

Q: I have heard there are plans to expand the LEZ to outside of the M25?
A: On discussion with Transport for London they have confirmed there no plans at this time to expand the LEZ
