The London Low Emission Zone (LEZ)
We have had several enquiries regarding the LEZ in relation to Military and Flying Machines and Damyns Hall.
The situation is this:
Damyns Hall lies on the very edge of the LEZ in fact the border line for the LEZ is in Warwick Lane (see map) which is also the border of Damyns Hall. As there is an entrance to the site from Warwick Lane it is possible to enter the show without going into the LEZ. As Military and Flying Machines is held on private ground the LEZ is not applicable to the show site.
For the duration of the show the main entrance to the Airfield which lies approximately 200 meters within the LEZ is designated emergency and exhibitor access only. If you are an exhibitor and your vehicle and/or support vehicle is deemed to be non-compliant you may use the public entrance off Warwick Lane to enter the show ground by way of the A13 and the south.
These plans have been reviewed by the appropriate authorities and agreed. In short if you have an LEZ non-compliant vehicle you can still attend the show with it using the Warwick Lane entrance.

Is my vehicle and/or support vehicle compliant to the LEZ requirements?
Go to the Transport for London LEZ web site www.tfl.gov.uk/roadusers/lez/ where you can enter your vehicle and/or support vehicle in to their search engine which will then tell you if your vehicle is compliant or not.
If your vehicle and/or support vehicle is compliant then you can enter via the Exibitors entrance shown on the detailed map on our detailed map below. If it is not then you can enter the show via the Warwick lane entrance, that way and so enter the site without going into the LEZ. as the airfield is private land the LEZ does not apply.
NB. If in the event your vehicle and/or support vehicle does not comply it is worth talking to Transport for London (contact details on their web site www.tfl.gov.uk/roadusers/lez/ ) as sometimes it is possible to only change your vehicles description on the registration document to make it compliant.
Rumour control!
We have received several comments relating to the expansion of the LEZ to operate outside of the M25 area. On discussion with Tfl these rumours are unfounded. If this was ever a proposal a full public consultation and awareness campaign would have to be conducted and the proposals voted upon and due process followed. As such it would take a couple of years at least, possibly longer.
